Uncle Moe's Shawarma Hub

Uncle Moe's opened its branch in BF Homes Paranaque.  This is a good addition to Shawarma go-to places aside from SSC (Shawarma Snack Center).

They have good food with reasonable prices.  Loved their garlic and spicy sauces.  Best to enjoy your Shawarma with Root Beer!

Ramen Yushoken



Ramen Yushoken opened Q4 of 2012. Since then, this is our go-to place for great Ramen in the South! After nearly 2 years of operation, the place is still always full.  This is the usual scene during a weekend dinner - long line of diners waiting for their turn.  The place is small but service is swift so there's fast turnover of diners.





Their placemat serves as the menu.  Dish offerings are limited to Ramen and side dishes. No desserts.


We would usually order these Ramen with gyoza. Tantan-Men is my favorite!

The kids would normally order Karaage and Chahan. This restaurant doesn't have spoon and fork so kids would try hard to use chopsticks and soup spoon.

L'eau Vive

After 13 years working for an FMCG along UN Avenue, this was the first time I dined at Leau Vive.  This French restaurant is walking distance from my office and being ran by French missionaries. 






Food is a bit pricey.  But it felt good to know that proceeds are being used to fund their programs. The head nun got our orders.  She also recommended some of the dishes.  The other nun can't speak English.  She just refilled our glasses with water.  We started with some appetizer and salad.

Bread with Mousse de foie de volaille (Chicken liver pate)

For main course, we ordered 4 different dishes for sharing. Food was good, serving size was enough for 1 person (per order).


Tournedos Rossini (Beef Tenderloin, mousse de foie, mushroom and red wine)
Filet de beauf a l'Imperial (Beef fillet, white wine, provincial herbs and cream)

Roulades de poulet champignons a la creme

Gambas a la facon des iles au safron (prawns, spinach, bananas and saffron)
We were so excited with desserts. It was good that we ended our meal with these great desserts. Loved the profiteroles!

IHOP in Alabang

IHOP opened its Alabang branch beside Project Pie. We decided to eat here one Saturday afternoon.









 They have different syrup flavors. I got excited with Blueberry!


We ordered these. Loved the french toast and the Stack!

Shrimp Bucket

Been wanting to try this restaurant for the longest time.  I love shrimps --- one of my favorite food! Few weeks ago, after my sons football practice at Emperador Stadium, we braved the Friday night traffic just to have our dinner here. The place is quite small. Limited seats at the ground floor and 30-something capacity on 2nd floor.





We skipped starters and salad.  The kids ordered fried chicken wings. For my husband and I, we got Mardi gras and Salty Eggsperience sauces for our mussels and shrimps. We were so hungry after being stuck in traffic for a long time.  Good thing service was great, waitress assigned to our table was so attentive and food was served fast.

Literally, true to its restaurant's name, they will serve your shrimp (seafood) in a bucket. The waiter will shake the plastic bag to spread the sauce evenly and serve. I loved their Mardi gras sauce! For the shrimps, they will also give you lemon, salt and pepper for dipping.
